Yesterday I attended the I Do! Bridal Soiree, a luxury bridal event at the produced by Weddings In Houston magazine. It was at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Houston, TX. Makeup by Keri Ann will be joining the Weddings in Houston magazine beginning in February, so I decided to see what was in store for brides to be and vendors.
There must have been well over 500 guests in attendance and every vendor you need to make your big day a success was waiting to greet you and show off the latest and greatest trends for your dream wedding.
There were lots of ideas and many tasty treats - including champaign! Brides even took home a special swag bag full of samples, promotional items, magazines and ???? (I'm not a bride to be, so I didn't get the goodies!). It appeared that everyone - from the bride, to mothers of the bride, and the brave men who attended were enjoying themselves! I even ran into a friend who is planning her November wedding!

And while all these things were great to look at, the highlight of the day was the bridal gown fashion show! Below you will find a few pictures I snapped there. I apologize for the quality of the pictures - still trying to find the right settings on my new camera (I am NOT a photographer and never have been), but it gives you a feel for what took place. (When the models were actually looking my direction, the lights were also right in the middle of focus too, so that's why I don't have pics of the front of the wedding gowns.)

I would be honored to help you look your best on your wedding day and a trial makeup run is a great place to start visualizing your wedding day look! I recommend doing a trial 3-4 weeks before your bridal portraits. Of course, if you wish to use a makeup artist for your engagement session, then a trial makeup run should be scheduled 3-4 weeks prior to your engagement session.
